Most countries in Middle East are Moslem countries, whereas alcoholic beverages are strictly not allowed to drink (by Moslem). Nevertheless, there are few countries that still allow visitors to bring alcoholic beverages into the country. Customs in these countries issued the following regulations:
Qatar
Tourists are strictly prohibited to bring alcohols. At Doha airport, Qatar Customs using xray to check every luggage and will confiscate any bottles of alcoholic drink. They will issue a receipt valid for 2 weeks to reclaim the alcohol on exit from the country.
UAE/Dubai
It is allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into UAE, maximum 4 bottles (or four 6-packs) per person.
Saudi Arabian
Visitors are strictly not allowed to bring alcoholic beverage into this country.
Egypt
Visitors can bring maximum 2 litres of alcoholic drinks/spirits.
Iran
Alcoholic drinks are prohibited into and around Iran
Kuwait
Cannot bring any amount of alcoholic beverages into this country
Lebanon
Residents and non-residents over 18 years of age without incurring customs duty are allowed to bring 2l of champagne, whisky or cognac or a maximum of 4l of other alcoholic beverages
Syria
Visitors are permitted to bring alcoholic beverages and spirits, maximum 2. 1 pint (0.570 litre)
Turkey
Alcoholic beverages only for travelers aged 18 and over, maximum 1 bottle of 1 litre or 2 bottles of 700 ml/750ml of wine and/or spirits
Jordan
Travelers can bring alcoholic drinks not exceeding 1 litre
Afghanistan
Alcoholic beverages/wine are permitted not more than 2 liter
Iraq
Visitors are allowed to bring alcoholic beverages not more than 1 litre
Yemen
Maximum allowed to bring are two bottles of alcoholic beverages (non-Muslims only)
Pakistan
Import of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited for both residents and non-residents regardless of their nationality.
